How much time do you spend in your attic? In some homes, the attic can be a decent bonus room for kids to play or for the grown-ups to put an office. However, in most homes, the attic is a dark, depressing space full of insulation and potential issues. For that reason, many people don’t spend much time up there, and attic issues tend to “come out of nowhere” when in reality, they’ve been brewing for a very long time.

Attics are an ideal place for thermal imaging. Since it’s difficult to physically get up into most attics, thermal imaging can spot things that are not easily seen from the safe distance of an attic stairway. For example, an infrared camera can help detect nesting rodents. It can also help to detect improperly installed recessed lights since they can get very hot, which can be a fire hazard if they make contact with insulation.
